Penny Burtt is Director of Public Affairs and External Relations and Head of Client Service Risk, Asia, with global management consultancy, McKinsey & Company. She leads McKinsey’s government relations, public affairs, reputation building, communications and reputation risk efforts across the ASEAN countries, and supports the Firm on risk across Asia.
She works with public sector client teams as a Senior Expert. Prior to joining McKinsey in 2011, she was a senior diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She most recently served as Deputy High Commissioner in the Australian High Commission in Singapore, and has previously represented Australia at a senior level in Malaysia, Indonesia, at the United Nations in Geneva and New York and as Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia.
She is a Fellow of the Singapore Social Innovation Park, and sits on the boards of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and the Singapore Institute of International Affairs.
